Run the practice,
not just the books.
Most firms bolt a CRM, a deadline tracker, an AML tool and a time system onto their ledger and reconcile the four by hand. Qwikr ships them as one, on top of the client data they all depend on.
The whole job, in one place
Everything here reads from the same client record, so a deadline, a task, a fee and a filing are all talking about the same thing.
Onboarding and AML
Take a prospect from enquiry to engaged client in one flow: identity verification, AML risk assessment, know-your-client questionnaire and the record of it all kept for inspection.
Engagement letters
Template your letters once, merge in client and fee detail, send for e-signature and store the executed copy against the client record.
Deadline tracking
Statutory dates — VAT, RTI, corporation tax, confirmation statements, accounts filing — tracked per client with escalation as they approach.
Tasks and workflow
Recurring job templates, assignment, comments and stages, so a year-end job is a checklist that moves rather than an email thread.
Time, WIP and recovery
Log time against jobs, watch WIP build, and see recovery per client before you write the fee off rather than after.
Working papers
Lead schedules and working papers that tie to the trial balance they came from, with review sign-off recorded on each.
Company secretarial
Officers, PSC register, share classes and allotments, with Companies House lookup to keep the statutory record straight.
SLA escalation
Define what "late" means for your firm and let the system escalate it, instead of relying on someone noticing.
Governance and approvals
Second-partner review gates on the actions that warrant one, recorded as approvals rather than as a verbal nod.
A deadline that knows if the work is done
A standalone deadline tracker can only tell you a date is approaching. It has no idea whether the VAT return behind that date has been prepared, reviewed or filed, so somebody has to go and look — for every client, every quarter.
Because Qwikr holds the ledger and the practice workflow together, the deadline knows its own status. The list you look at each morning is a list of what is genuinely outstanding, not a list of dates.
- VAT, RTI, ITSA, corporation tax, accounts and confirmation statements per client
- Status derived from the underlying work, not from a manual tick
- Escalation policies that chase before the date, not after
- Filterable by partner, manager, client group or urgency
From enquiry to engaged, with the file already built
Onboarding is where firms lose both time and evidence. The identity check happens in one tool, the risk assessment in a spreadsheet, the letter in Word, the signature in email — and when a supervisory visit asks for the file, somebody rebuilds it from memory.
Here it is one sequence. The client completes their part, the checks run, the letter goes out for signature, and the finished file sits on the client record because that is where it was assembled.
- Client-completed onboarding questionnaire, no re-keying
- Identity verification and AML risk assessment recorded against the client
- Engagement letter merged, sent and e-signed in the same flow
- Fee and services captured, ready to bill
Questions, answered
No. The migration centre imports from Xero, QuickBooks, Sage and CSV per client, so most firms move a handful first, settle, then move the rest in batches. Nothing about the platform assumes your whole book arrives on day one.
It does, though you lose the point of it. Tasks, deadlines, AML, engagement letters and time all function on their own. What you give up is the part where a deadline knows whether the underlying VAT return is actually ready, because that only works when the ledger is in the same system.
Identity verification runs against the client record, the risk assessment and questionnaire responses are stored with it, and the whole file is retrievable for inspection. It is designed so that producing evidence for a supervisory visit is a search rather than an archaeology project.
Yes. Permissions are role-based and can be scoped so a member of staff only sees the clients they are assigned to. Every access is logged.
Engagement letters, reports and correspondence all run on templates with merge fields, so your existing wording carries over. You are not stuck with ours.
